Looking For A Full-Time Live-in Helper | Japanese Family

We are a Japanese family with two children, aged 8 and 4, and expecting our 3rd baby in October.

We are looking for a kind, responsible and experienced helper for a stable, long-term working relationship.

Main responsibilities:
• Family meals and children’s lunch boxes
• School pick-ups and drop-offs
• Childcare and playing with the children
• Laundry, cleaning and ironing
• Bedtime routines
• Newborn care when needed

We are looking for someone who:
• Can communicate comfortably in everyday English, including reporting, sharing updates and asking questions when needed
• Respects our family routines and understands priorities and time management
• Has experience with cooking, cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Is willing to learn Japanese food and children’s lunch boxes
• Has baby-care experience
• Genuinely enjoys children and interacts with them warmly and actively
• Always puts children’s safety first, especially around swimming pools and playgrounds
• Does not use her mobile phone while caring for children, except when necessary for communication
• Can take children to and from school
• Is looking for stable, long-term employment

Newborn night care:

Occasionally, we may ask you to care for our newborn at night, usually around 10pm–12am. When this is needed, we will ensure sufficient rest either the day before or the following day, including a 1pm–3pm rest/nap period when needed.
